We are Giants

At Sleeping Giant Media, we’re not interested in old hat SEO, we’re not looking for guess work paid-search, and we don’t want standard social. We’re bigger than that. We are GIANTS.

You may not be an expert – but that’s fine. Because we are! From the moment you step through the doors, you will be in the company of some of the country’s foremost authorities in digital marketing, and will undergo an intensive course of training to get you up to speed. We don’t play about, here; we make sure all our GIANTS are more than just a namesake.

If this seems daunting, you’d be right! But we’re after those who relish a challenge, those who want to push the boundaries of what we know about digital marketing, and those who want to give the best to receive the best.

Role Package

Our GIANTS are given above and beyond what you could expect from an office job. Yes, we have the free drinks and snacks, and you’ll learn more about our office below, but it’s more than that.

Our Home

On the outskirts of the town centre, you wouldn’t expect an unassuming concrete building to house the Giants that it does. And yet, here we are in the penthouse of the Civic Centre, overlooking the English Channel.

Between these walls, we have a secret room, a fully stocked bar, a cupboard loaded with snacks, fridges loaded with drinks, games consoles, numerous breakout areas, offices covered in grass, nerf guns, a dartboard, scooters, a lego logo wall, and (probably most famously) a ball pit.

Plus, we’re only a short walk from the beach which is AWESOME in the summer!

Social Media Executive

 

We’re an award-winning Digital Marketing Agency in Kent, and we’re on the lookout for someone to join our social media team. Whether it’s navigating the ever-evolving world of social media advertising, helping to delight a client’s Twitter following or help them reach new audiences through organic activity, we want someone with the creativity and enthusiasm to make it happen.

The Digital Creative Team is made up of people who all share the common goal of exceeding expectations for their clients. The DC team members are responsible for communicating our clients’ commercial ideas in creative ways – using everything from social media and digital PR campaigns, to written content and visuals.

We want you to come into the team raring to go, building on the skills you already have, and continuing to constantly develop – pushing yourself, the team, and the business to greater levels of customer satisfaction through dedication to the role. The role involves learning and implementing the many skills and best practices around social media marketing to support the Social Media Manager in delivering work for key client accounts. You’ll be supported by the Senior Digital Creative Manager and a team of people ready to bounce ideas around, share a cup of tea, or debate the merits of a custard cream over a bourbon.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years experience in using social media professionally
  • Comfortable with multiple social media platforms
  • Experience using paid advertising through social media channels
  • Ability to writing social posts and/or ad copy for different TOVs and industry sectors
  • Exceptional written and spoken English
  • Experience creating and analysing social media reports, and identifying KPIs of campaign or activity success
  • An aptitude for working online
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A keen ability to problem solve and find solutions
  • The ability to quickly grasp a new subject, identify key messaging & write to brand guidelines
  • A keen eye for detail and delivering work to the highest standard
  • Excellent understanding of spelling and grammar, and the ability to proofread own work
  • Prioritisation, time and workload management. Proven experience working to tight timeframes and deadlines is an advantage
  • An understanding of SEO and how it relates to creative work is desirable
  • Have a good understanding of digital marketing, and be keen to develop this understanding further
  • Be a team player, able to build effective relationships both internally & externally
  • Be a resilient and self motivated individual
  • Informal or formal qualifications preferred, but not necessary

Search Marketing Manager

 

Joining the business as a new Account Manager you will need to lead and develop a portfolio of client accounts while managing a team of like-minded GIANTS. The role will require a high level of experience in PPC advertising, Search Engine Optimisation, Outreach Strategy and Social Media, as well as overall marketing strategy and account development. Don’t worry though! You’ll have the full support of the Client Service team, the Associate Client Services Director and the Head of Data in order to achieve these goals.

 

Client facing skills are essential and the role will require the applicant to be responsible for and take ownership of a number of high-value accounts. We want you to come into the team raring to go and to constantly develop – pushing yourself, the team, and the business to greater levels of customer satisfaction through dedication to the role.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Both written and spoken English to a high standard
  • Extensive knowledge of PPC, SEO & Social
  • Strong analytical skills
  • An excellent grasp of mathematics and basic statistics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • A keen ability to problem solve and find solutions
  • Prioritisation, time and workload management
  • Evidenced passion for digital marketing essential
  • Google Adwords Professional Certified
  • Experience of managing a team desirable
  • Use of SEO diagnostics & outreach tools
  • Use of social management tools desirable
  • Understanding of the GDPR and how it affects marketing
