DO NOT USE:

Using The Sleeping Giant Media Logo

Logo Safe Space

The Sleeping Giant Media logo always needs safe space that is free of imagery and text surrounding it. Use half the icon’s width to determine the minimum amount of safe space that should surround the logo.

If copy appears below the logo, you should measure safe space from the bottom of the logo to the x-width of the G ‘arm’.

Minimum Height

The word \’Sleeping Giant Media\’ should always be easy to read. So in digital content the logo should never appear smaller than 24 dp in height.

The minimum size for applying the logo in print is 0.125 inches/3.1 mm in height.

How NOT to use the logo

The Sleeping Giant Media logo is a symbol people recognise, so it should never be altered unless part of a larger campaign as guided by Brand and Marketing.

Here are a few examples of what not to do with the logo.

Don’t

  • Change the colour
  • Add drop shadows
  • Auto align SGM font
  • Change the shape
  • Use different fonts
  • Warp or distort the logo
  • Use logo in phrase

Using the logo on solid backgrounds

These examples show the correct application of the Sleeping Giant Media logo on different solid backgrounds. The light full-colour logo should be used on a background that’s lighter than 20% grey. The white full-colour logo should be used on a background that’s darker than 50% grey.

Using the logo on photo backgrounds

Use the white logo on dark images, images with lots of colour variants or dark opacities. Use the full colour logo on light photos, or with light opacity fades.

The Sleeping Giant Media Icon

The icon does not take the place of the Sleeping Giant Media logo. It is used for merchandise and certain branding situations. It is used as a background mask on slide decks and other brand collateral.
