Tool of the month: SEM Rush
What is it?
Basically, it’s an auditing tool which you can use to see what your competitors are doing, what your clients are doing and a quick snapshot of how everything looks from SEO, PPC to the structure of the site.
Why use it?
We use SEM Rush to get an idea of the general landscape online. If we know competitors are bidding on keywords, we can bring up their ad-copy. It can suggest which keywords they are bidding on and how similar they are to ours. Same for SEO, we can see how much of a keyword crossover there is. We can audit on a weekly, daily or monthly basis to see if there are any errors. For example, if 400 pages don’t have meta data, SEM Rush will tell you.
A web developer would also benefit from using SEM Rush as it offers insight through a health score determined by crawling each page of the site and highlighting which pages would be impacting the SEO of the site.
What do you personally like about it?
It’s easy to get fixated on the details, so it helps to step back and look at the whole picture. An example of this would be if pages are duplicated by accident. SEM Rush will highlight this to you preventing any time wasted on working two pages of the same content. Really helpful for a top level perspective
SEM Rush offers three different plans, starting from $99.95/month to $399.95/month. As expected, as you work your way up the packages, you get more features. Such as more scheduled white label reports a month for example.
If you have any questions about SEM Rush, we’d be more than happy to answer them!
