It’s coming home, so we’re staying home… for Monday morning at least! 🦁
For the first time ever England has reached the final of the European Championships, with the game kicking off this Sunday at 8pm. Only the Italians stand in our way.
For years as a nation, we have experienced hurt. Lampard’s disallowed goal, Southgate’s penalty miss, Beckham’s red card. Humblings from the likes of Croatia, Iceland, and others taking their toll.
But to celebrate such a momentous occasion, whether we win or lose as a country, we’re giving our Giants some time off on Monday morning following post-match celebrations or commiserations.
With all that’s gone on in the last 16 months, we’ve got to take all the wins we can find! So whether it’s coming home or not, us Giants are finding joy in the occasion and having a lie in like champions of Europe.
Luke Quilter, our CEO said:
“To celebrate the football, win or lose we are going to let the team have the morning off! It has been an insane year, with very little to celebrate so we felt that this is a great opportunity to recognise something that has brought us all together and given us something good to read about, look at, discuss and debate.
One of our Quarterly objectives is to “find Joy”, so, a half-day is a great start!
Come on England, make us even more proud!”
This isn’t a full shut down, we’re still going to be contactable as a business, so don’t worry about getting in touch if you need us… but you too should revel in the chance to celebrate this (hopeful) victory!
We’ll be back in the office, virtual or otherwise in the afternoon, following the Giant “celebrommiserations”!
