With the ’80s synth-pop vibes of New Order’s Blue Monday ringing in my ears as I write this, today marks Blue Monday, the third Monday of January where everything is supposedly at its most depressing. But, it’s also a charitable day created by Canterbury College in 2011 in aid of doing small acts of kindness for people at a time of year which is generally a bit grey and dreary!
With charity being a huge part of our culture at Sleeping Giant Media, we’ve got some awesome ChallengeSGM charity events lined up for the rest of 2016 that will make a difference, however big or small, to people’s lives.

On Friday 4th March, our MD Luke will be on fire (quite literally it seems) when he attempts to walk barefoot over scorching 800 degree wood embers for the Pilgrims Hospice Firewalk!
It’s time to put your thinking cap on because on Friday 18th March at 6pm we’re holding a good ol’ fashioned SGM Quiz Night at our Giant Towers. It’s £3.50 to enter, and all proceeds will go towards Cancer Research UK! Come along!

Are you an ace with cards? On Friday 22nd April, we’re putting on our poker faces and shuffling down to our SGM Poker Night! All proceeds from the night will be going to Cancer Research UK.

We’re swapping our loafers for our running shoes as we undertake the Folkestone Coastal 10K run on 29th May!

Think Pink! Some of our female Giants will be running 5k in the Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK on 16th June!
