The Kent Excellence in Business Awards are held annually to celebrate business achievement in the county. This year we entered four categories, alongside another 265+ entrants. For each category, six shortlisted entrants were chosen. We’re really proud that we were shortlisted in three categories, which is a fantastic achievement.
The categories we’re shortlisted for are:
- Young Entrepreneur of the Year
- SME Business of the Year
- Customer Service and Commitment Award
The judges for each category visited each of the shortlisted companies to conduct face-to-face interviews. It’s this rigorous judging that sets the KEiBAs apart from other awards. The judges will choose three finalists, one of whom will be their chosen winner.
The final judging session is set to take place on 13th May, with the finalists contacted by 16th May. There’s nothing more we can do but cross all our fingers and toes! All finalists are invited to the gala dinner on 26th June where the winners will be presented with their engraved trophies.
Geoff Miles, Chairman of Judges for 2014, told the KEiBA organisers: “It is great to see so many Kent and Medway businesses sticking their heads above the parapet and showing what they have achieved. KEiBA is a great way of shining a spotlight on the county’s excellence in business and is a great chance to say: ‘Kent business means quality.'”
