Google is becoming more of a social butterfly than ever. Here’s how to track your site.
With the interesting release of Google +1 buttons, now is a good time to look at how to track the interactions you receive from these, and naturally enough, Analytics is more than able to rise to the task. If you are not sure what this is all about (where have you been?), then check out the following blog post: Google Plus1.
Once you have installed the Google +1 button on your site, Google will start collecting the information and display it under the Social Engagement section. Also, make sure you are using the latest GA code, otherwise you may not see anything!

Within this breakdown, we can determine the traffic segment that sends the most relevant traffic. If you have not configured the Google button correctly, you may see “Not Socially Engaged” such as below:
