Role within SGM

As Client Services Director my focus is on the delivering of Sleeping Giant Media’s Services, ensuring they meet the needs of our wide range of Clients, helping to build the effective, long lasting relationships that ultimately drive performance through Search.

Previous experience

I started out in Search Marketing at a technical implementation level, learning best practice PPC strategies. My career in PPC grew with the development of my own best practice PPC strategies implemented across many fully integrated e-commerce accounts, allowing me and the various team’s I have worked with to quantifiably increasing ROI across may areas of the businesses within which I worked.

Before moving to develop SGM full time, I started to realise the real potential of PPC within integrated Search Marketing strategies, using it as a tool to grow and develop SEO, Content and Social strategies… this is when it got really exciting for me!

Areas of interest

Well… I don’t want to sound like I’m “towing the company line”, but I love digital marketing and I love applying what I’ve learnt to new business models, there’s nothing as rewarding as seeing a business grow from the work that we are
carrying out.

However I do have a life outside of work… sometimes, and when I’m out of the office I like to hit the gym, read and switch off with the xbox from time to time!

Major achievement

I would have to say setting up Sleeping Giant Media, the last few years have been fantastic, we’ve seen great growth and built some lasting relationships, working with the team here at SGM has been the highlight for me so far!

My blog posts

My blog topics can be a bit of a mix… depending on my mood they can be somewhat ranty! Generally speaking though I like to talk about the uses of PPC for growing and developing search strategies. However in such a dynamic environment, with Google moving the goalposts on a daily basis, I also try to stay up to date with what’s going on and communicate that through my posts!
